Refugee Sanctuary Retreats

Use of the house by people seeking asylum, with recent refugee status, or who are survivors of torture and traum forms the primary charitable purpose of Hill House.  The form of the visit or retreat is up to the organisers.  The cost of using the house in this way is that of organising transport, and food (although increasingly we will have stocks of garden produce!).  We are happy to receive donations for this use, but there is no formal charge.

At present the house is not suitable for overnight use of parents with young children (under 5), or for those cannot manage stairs.  Day-time use is possible however for both groups;  there is a ground floor level toilet and (after the short initial gravel path) a ramp and brick paths in the main garden space.
